Laura Jennings lives in Hamilton, Montana with her boyfriend and beagle. She has been active in the art of photography for over ten years, mainly for personal work. Recently she began her professional work by shooting local weddings and portraits. After graduating from the University of Oregon under the pretenses of a biology/environmental studies major, she moved to Seattle where she rented a darkroom in between stints as a fisheries biologist in Alaska. After moving to Montana, she decided to take her photography more seriously and participated in portrait and documentary workshops at the Rocky Mountain School of Photography in Missoula. She is currently applying to the University of Montana School of Journalism for a Masters degree in Photo journalism.
