Kristen Murphy made Whitefish, Montana her home about ten years ago when a friend told her it was paradise. She was raised in New York, then moved to Vermont where she received her degree in fine art. Most recently a compilation of Kristen’s work was featured at Stillwater Gallery in “Watchers of the World.” Her work was part of “Where the Buffalo Roamed,” a fundraiser for Stumptown Art Studio in Whitefish. Kristen’s work has been featured in “Miniatures and More” and “The Horse in Flathead Valley Collections” at the Hockaday Museum of Art in Kalispell, Montana. In 2002 she was a bear artist for “The Great Bear Affair” fundraiser in the Flathead Valley. Kristen has also had several exhibitions around Whitefish and in Vermont.
